The International Development industry is at a critical junction. We’ve had decades of lessons that teach us about what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between. To proceed without re-evaluating resources, methods and goals would be terribly irresponsible.

This paper examines some of the failings of the non-profit/ not-for-profit/NGO sector and makes a case for establishing social enterprises for development beyond aid.
