PATHFINDER has collaborated with the University of Waterloo, Canada, and the University of York, UK, to co-author a compelling case study titled “Examining the Role of Tourism Social Enterprise Venezia Autentica in Responding to Overtourism and Progressing the Sustainable Development Goals”. This study is featured in the newly released book “International Case Studies in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism” and addresses one of the most pressing issues in the tourism industry today: overtourism.

The Venice Dilemma: A Call for Social Responsibility and Innovation

Venice is a dream destination for millions of travelers worldwide. However, the city’s popularity has come at a high cost. Overtourism has strained Venice’s infrastructure, disrupted local life, and threatened its cultural heritage.
